Call for Tasks

The PAIO 2026 Scientific Committee invites experienced problem setters and researchers to submit original algorithmic tasks for the competition. Tasks should be novel, well-defined, and suitable for secondary-school contestants with strong programming backgrounds.

1Tasks must be original and not used in any previous competition.
2Each submission must include a problem statement, solution, test data, and time/memory limits.
3Tasks should be solvable using C, C++, Java, or Python within the given constraints.
4Difficulty should range from accessible (for partial scoring) to challenging (for full marks).
5Topics may include algorithms, data structures, graph theory, dynamic programming, combinatorics, and computational geometry.
6Submissions are reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Selected authors will be credited.

Registration

National Informatics Olympiad committees are invited to register their delegations for PAIO 2026. Each participating country may send a delegation consisting of contestants and team leaders.

Requirements

  • 1Official registration must be submitted by the national Informatics Olympiad Representative or Team Leader.
  • 2Each delegation may include up to 6 contestants (at most 3 boys and 3 girls) and 2 team leaders.
  • 3Contestants must be under 20 years of age and enrolled in secondary education.
  • 4A valid passport is required for all delegates.
  • 5Delegations must confirm participation and submit contestant details by the registration deadline.
  • 6Accommodation and local transport will be arranged by the organizing committee upon registration.
